The GSF 3 to 7 Shepherd Process is designed to ease a new person into this radical lifestyle change. GSF is not a diet program. GSF is a comprehensive mind, body and soul reconstruction program. This comprehensive approach is designed to effect sure, enduring, satisfactory healing.
The GSF approach is multiphasic and its principles and practice must be unfolded day, by day over time. There is no "quick reference guide" or "weight loss for dummies" or "cliff notes" to be reviewed.
As well, because the food we eat is just a small part that is useless without the other key components, the GSF policy is to only provide it to those new people who have been mentally primed to comprehend the value of the other dynamics that generates and unleashes the power rendering the food plan effective.
GSF Certified Sponsors are few and far between. So GSF has established this Shepherd Program, whereby, GSF Candidate Sponsors aka Shepherds, can help to get the newcomer started, with the initial disciplines and ready them for engagement with a GSF Certified Sponsor.
GSF Shepherds are GSF members who are working steadily with a GSF Certified Sponsor. The GSF Shepherds have demonstrated consistency with adhering to the GSF Protocol and are dedicated to adhering to the GSF policies, principles and practices. As well, the GSF Shepherd has been approved by their GSF Certified Sponsor to serve as a GSF Shepherd.
GSF Shepherds are not qualified to serve as GSF Certified Sponsors. The GSF Shepherd refer the newcomer to a GSF Certified Sponsor when the newcomer has completed the 3 to 7 Process, and he/she deems the newcomer ready for the next step.
First 3 days the newcomer get to eat what ever he/she wants, however, all food consumed (including snacks) are only eaten within a structured time frame of three meals a day at the same time each day. The newcomer can determine the time of the three meals and the timing must remain consistent throughout the 7 day Shepherd process. NO EATING IN BETWEEN MEALS AT ALL. THIS INCLUDES GUM, TASTINGS, ETC.
Also, the newcomer is guided to engage in at least one 5 minute quiet time session during the first 3 days. The quiet time details is outlined by the Shepherd. The newcomer may engage in this activity at a time of his/her choosing.
Also, the newcomer is to call the Shepherd at a time or times negotiated between them. The call may be as short as 5 minutes. In this call, the newcomer may ask questions or share concerns or epiphanies. The Shepherd shall confer with his/her GSF Certified Sponsor to be sure the answers to the newcomer's questions are accurate and consistent.
Same time frame for eating continues. One meal (either breakfast, lunch or dinner) has to be abstinent during day 4 AND 5. One session of quiet time on the in 4th and 5th days. Shepherd is called every day at the agreed upon times. The Shepherd shall offer the newcomer options for the one abstinent meal - taking into account, food choices that are abstinent and satisfactory to the newcomer.
Same time frame for eating continues. Two meals ( can be either breakfast, lunch or dinner) has to be abstinent during day 6. One session of quiet time on the 6th day. Shepherd is called every day at the agreed upon times. The Shepherd shall offer the newcomer options for the two abstinent meals - taking into account, food choices that are abstinent and satisfactory to the newcomer.
Same time frame for eating continues. Three meals (all meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner) has to be abstinent during day 7. One session of quiet time on the 7th day. Shepherd is called every day at the agreed upon times. The Shepherd shall offer the newcomer options for the three abstinent meals - taking into account, food choices that are abstinent and satisfactory to the newcomer.
At the end of Day 7, if the newcomer has been able to complete the Shepherd Process, then, he/she, shall be referred to a GSF Sponsor. At that time the full meal plan is revealed and reviewed by the GSF Certified Sponsor with the newcomer.
The newcomer may start over again as many times as they would like. The Shepherd is free to continue or forward the newcomer onto another Shepherd if he/she thinks it might be a better fit. This change does not indicate failure on the part of the newcomer or the Shepherd.
At no time however, will the newcomer be given the whole food plan until they have successfully completed the 3 to 7 Shepherd Process and have been assigned to a Certified GSF Sponsor.
